BGBlitz Backgammon Program http://www.bgblitz.com/

Dailygammon offers online backgammon which you can play at your leisure.

FIBS - the first web BG server. Created by Andreas Schneider, maintained by Patti Beadles

Gamesgrid - commercial online backgammon site. Fast, excellent interface. You have to pay to use all the features, but many people (including me) think it's worth it.

3DFIBS - one of the best programs for playing on FIBS, and throws in the GNU program as a bonus! Features access to repbot and lists of saved games (helps you avoid droppers and other FIBS undesirables)

GNU backgammon - for Windows and Linux. This superb backgammon program will definitely improve your game. Equivalent to expensive commercial programs such as Snowie and Jellyfish. A 'must-have' for serious players.

Snowie and Jellyfish are the best-known commercial backgammon playing and teaching programs. Development of both appears to have halted, with no new versions having appeared for some time. There is a free version of Jellyfish which plays at a very high level. Get GNU or BGBlitz!

BGBlitz has a friendly intuitive interface, and offers many options including move evaluations and tutor mode. Highly recommended. Get the Pro version - a bargain at only US$46.

FIBS/W was the first graphical client for FIBS, and still favoured by many.  Get it here.
